Rotary Lobe Pumps
Standard pump with tri-lobe rotors manufactured entirely in AISI 316 stainless steel, mounted on a cast iron bearing frame with epoxy paint protective coating. Pre-assembled double tapered roller bearings, high precision timing gears with timing device. Oil lubricated and device for axial shaft adjustment. A chamber providing separation between rotor case and bearing frame, enables the fitting of balanced-compact-reversible type mechanical seals.
- ST VERSION: Standard tri-lobe rotors
- SM VERSION: Tri-lobe with increased tolerances for heavy high-temperature duty.
- HP VERSION: For pressure up to 20 bar
- PR VERSION: Rotors and lobes in anti-seizure alloy with minimal clearances (improved
volumetric efficiency and dosing duty).

ASEPTIC PUMP
All the standard models can also be constructed in aseptic version with sterile vapour or liquid barrier on the end cover, shaft seals and suction/discharge ports. This pump is essential in packaging food or pharmaceutical sterilized products and must under no circumstances be contaminated by bacteria or micro-organisms during transfer.

PUMP WITH ENLARGED SUCTION INLET
The models B200 ¨C B330 ¨C B430 can also be supplied with a rotor case machined from a single casting having an enlarged rectangular suction port to facilitate the suction of highly viscous products, semi-solid pastes or mixtures containing semi-solid pieces. In these cases the pump is generally positioned with the ports on a vertical axis to facilitate entry of the product under gravity.

PUMP WITH JACKETED ROTOR CASE
All sizes of pumps in ¡°B¡± Series can be supplied with the rotor case (and on request also the end cover) fitted with a jacket for the circulation of heating or cooling liquids when the pumped fluid is to be maintained at a constant temperature inside the pump. Typical examples are fats, butter and margarine, chocolate and glucose.

FLUSHED SEALS
The mechanical seals in pumps used to transfer products that tend to crystallize or leave solid deposits can be flushed constantly with flow of free-draining water or a compatible liquid. Flushing is obtained fitting a seal box (having its own UM/LIP seal) around the mechanical seal.

ROTORS
Depending on the type of use the rotors can be made as: standard stainless steel tri-lobes, stainless steel bi-lobes, action dual wing rotary piston, gears for models B100 and B105. The stainless steel tri-lobe rotors (5 lobes for B100 and B105) and stainless steel bi-lobes can all be covered with rubber in different compositions. The rotors are interchangeable and should they need to be replaced it is possible to assemble the same type or different types of rotors, irrespective of their shape or the clearances. After replacing the lobes it will be necessary to control or reset the final tolerances. |

MATERIALS OF CONSTRUCTION
All shafts are manufactured from AISI 316 or Duplex sheet stainless steel. The rotors are manufactured from either high quality AISI 316L extruded shaped bar or in special stainless steel anti-seizure alloy (Acteon). The pump body is also manufactured from AISI 316 stainless steel and except for the B100 pump type, which is made from a sheet all other pumps are made from the lost wax casting method. It is possible to have certificates of all raw materials for traceability purposes. |
